We are honored to have Midori Daida, Committee Member of JCOSE and Senior Technical Lead at Astah, as our main speaker. Ms. Daida will lead a 60-minute session showcasing Astah's powerful modeling tools and capabilities, offering valuable insights for engineers and professionals across various disciplines. Before Ms. Daida's presentation, we will be joined by a special guest: member of Digital Engineering (DGE)(International Program), Thai-Nichi International College (TNIC-tnic@tni.ac.th ) , Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI - https://www.tni.ac.th/home/). Prof.Dr. Masaaki Komatsu, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kawiwat Amnatchotiphan, and an Event Host, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wipawadee Wonguswan, Assistant to the Rector for External Research Partnerships, . TNIC will provide a 30-minute, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kawiwat will give an introduction to the exciting field of digital engineering at TNIC, then Prof. Dr. Komatsu will present the “Introduction and Practice of Total System Engineering to University and College Education"「大学教育におけるトータルシステムエンジニアリングの導入と実践」.

Midori Daida
Software Engineer, Change Vision, Inc
Midori Daida is a software engineer at Change Vision, Inc. in Japan. She has developed Astah modeling tools including UML, SysML, and STPA. She uses her modeling and requirements management expertise in systems engineering to provide solutions for a wide variety of systems. Over the past six years, she has focused on improving the quality of requirements for automotive embedded systems.
Prof.Dr. Masaaki Komatsu
Lecturer of Digital Engineering (DGE), Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology
In 1976, he joined JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), where he was the Principal Engineer of the International Space Station Program. In 1997, Director, NASA Liaison office, NASA Kennedy Space Center, FL, USA. In 2010, he was with the National Institute of Technology, Kushiro College, where he was Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. Since 2019, he has been an Invited Professor in King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) and support the KOSEN KMITL. Since 2022, he has been with the Thai-Nichi International College (TNIC), Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI), Thailand, where he is currently Professor in Digital Engineering.
Asst.Prof.Dr.Kawiwat Amnatchotiphan
Head of Digital Engineering (DGE), Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology
Kawiwat Amnatchotiphan received the Dr.-Ing. degree (summa cum laude) in electrical engineering from University of Hannover, Germany, in 2010. From 2007 to 2011, he was with the Institute of Communications Technology, University of Hannover, as a Scientific Researcher. From 2011 to 2022, he was a Lecturer in Information Technology at Rangsit University, Thailand. Currently, he is a Chairman of Digital Engineering Program, Thai-Nichi International College, Thailand.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Wipawadee Wongsuwan
Assistant to the Rector for External Research Partnerships

Dr. Wipawadee Wongsuwan holds a Doctor of Engineering degree from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. For 14 years, she contributed her expertise to the Mechanical Engineering Department at Chiang Mai University (CMU), Thailand, leaving an indelible mark on the institution. In 2010, she transitioned to the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI), where she spearheaded the development of the Master Program in Engineering Technology (MET) at the Faculty of Engineering. As the program's lecturer and thesis advisor to 26 master's and doctoral students in diverse engineering fields, her commitment to advancing education became a hallmark of her career. Over the past 13 years at TNI, Dr. Wipawadee assumed various leadership roles, including Director of the Master's Program in Engineering Technology, Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs (Faculty of Engineering), and Dean of Thai-Nichi International College. She has significantly contributed to the growth and success of the academic institutions she served. Dr. Wipawadee has a research focus that encompasses refrigeration and air-conditioning, thermal comfort, computational techniques, and the Internet of Things (IoT) for thermal systems. She continues to inspire the academic community and make lasting contributions to the field of engineering and energy technology.
